I was fortunate to meet up with Pete Sprenkle in 2000 when we coached together. I learned a lot from him then and his “Tool Kit” provides the opportunity for others to learn from his experiences in coaching youth sports. After reviewing the book, I provided a copy to each of our minor league baseball coaches from A ball to AAA ball. For the first time coaches, the book offers great organizational tips, describes how to get the most from your parent volunteers and illustrates fun and challenging drills for tee ball players to teens. For the more experienced coaches, they can skip ahead and incorporate new drills into their practice schedules and gather some great motivational messages/quotes that Pete has compiled. So many volunteer coaches go out searching for a book like this one – look no further! If your league cannot supply a copy to each of its coaches, then at least buy one for the league library and make it available to your most enthusiastic coaches. Thanks Pete!
